Marcia Thimsen Noble was born on June 28, 1944. She passed away at the age of 78, on June 8, 2023.
Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, Seymour and Muriel Thimsen. Marcia was born in Fort Jackson, South Carolina where her father was stationed before being deployed during World War II. She grew up in Minnetonka and graduated from Hopkins High School in 1962. Marcia attended Augsburg College where she studied Home Economics. She married Robert Noble in 1966. She taught in West St. Paul for two years. However, her greatest joy and calling were found in nurturing her four beautiful children. In retirement, she enjoyed gardening, knitting, traveling, and genealogy. She was also a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Survived by husband Robert; children Calvin (Sarah) Noble, Nathan (Cathy) Noble, Pamela (Chad) Manders, and Rebecca (Philip) Wiken; grandchildren Madeline and Gage Noble, Nathan and Naomi Noble, Adrienne and William Manders, Connor, Patrick, and Andrew Wiken; sisters Linda (John) Benson and Barbara Gardner.
To honor Marcia's beautiful life and Christian faith, a celebration of her journey will be held on July 27, 2023, at Wooddale Church of Eden Prairie at 11:00 am.
Following the service, a reception will be held to share stories and memories of this incredible woman. Marcia will be laid to rest during a private burial service at Lakewood Cemetery.
