Miles, Michael J. October 22, 1944-June 23, 2013. Mike Miles was the youngest of four boys, born in and grew up in Minnesota. Mike attended Hopkins High School and graduated from the University of Minnesota. Mike met Colleen, the love of his life, in the spring of 1971 while volunteering as an instructor for the American Red Cross' Water Safety Instructor Certification (WSI). Over the next 42 years they created many wonderful memories together as well as two sons and a daughter; David (Leslie), Emily (Josh) Davis, and Luke, which in turn led to grandkids Hailey and Kaitlyn, and a grandson on the way. What Mike will be best remembered for is being a great friend and family man. Funeral service Friday, June 28, 10 AM at Calvary Lutheran Church, 7520 Golden Valley Road, Golden Valley. Visitation Thursday 5-7 PM at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 E Wayzata Blvd and 1 hour before the funeral Friday at church. Interment Summit Park Cemetery.
