Retirement has been a whole new way of life.  It is fun to challenge the "right" brain and not worry about deadlines, paper work, and such.  Travel, grandkids, pottery, marketing my children's book (Looking for Lucy) - (a shameless plug), reading, cooking, hanging out with friends, etc.  makes getting old all worth it.

Retired

I am retired a few years now from the U.S. Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights in the District of Columbia Office where I was an attorney/team leader for investigations of civil rights violations by schools and colleges.  Landed in Toledo on account of family nearby in Bowling Green Ohio and Sylvania Ohio. The self portrait is from an art class I took at the Smithsonian before I left DC.  My kindergarden teacher had written on a report card that I colored well.  Don't know how she knew.  Anyway, for a time I went "bad", attending law school at Harvard and practicing law in DC for 40 years. Phew. Then I decided to take up art again (something that it appears retired people do). Lots of talented artists around here, particuarly art glass, which got its start at the Toledo Museum of Art about 50 years ago.
Do have a great party.  See you in another 50 years.
